We begin with nothing. Tabula rasa.
I think of Yves. Who are you thinking of? Quiet. Four minutes and thirty-three seconds. Quiet. Three times. Somewhat uncanny. The knitting pattern says Oscar. Right, left, right, left, right, left. Do you see the stairs? She thinks of her father. All white. And I am saying goodbye to love in a black velvet dress. My throat hurts and saliva is dripping from my mouth. How about a Bloody Mary actually? I still need to sew more stuffed animals for three hours and thirty-three minutes. My hand cramps. I am taking another sip.
After that’s said, forget it.
